DREAMS, DEFERRED. depicts two Americans sitting on a white couch, a red wall of plywood behind them. To the right, a piece of Ol’ Glory Blue colored lace appears to float. There’s another piece on that blows in the wind of the plywood, and a a third that appears to hover in front of the rotting church. The two American men, one seated on the couch arm, one on the couch, are blindfolded. They hold a vase of dead flowers, together.
“I often hear whispers,” faif Quin says. “It’s not a sixth sense. I’ll walk a new park, or dance in a different bar, or fly over a beautiful cloud…and I’ll hear whispers of vivid lives once lived. I find that the most depressing ones, are the ones that depict the most resilience.”
